Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement

While working as a team, we appreciate that the diverse experiences, insights, and contributions of an inclusive culture are fundamental to our company's continued success. We empower our associates to lead the way and are dedicated to constant learning. Our goal is to create an environment that encourages and celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion because #wearebettertogether!

Culture is everything.

What is different and unique about each of us should be a source of greater strength and productivity. We need more voices at the table. We need to understand the viewpoints and experiences of others.

McNeill Hotel Company drives these commitments through our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council that is comprised of entry to executive level leaders. Each council member helps to foster a positive workplace environment that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Our expectation is that every associate be appreciated, included, and celebrated for their ethnicities, gender, sexual orientation, educational background, professional experiences, and uniqueness.

This Council has independent leadership, access to an outside advisor and a regular schedule of meetings and activities. In 2020, based on the input of team members, we made Juneteenth a corporate holiday. Each McNeill property also has its own Diversity Champion.

As the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council develops these strategies, senior leadership and the human resources team assist in implementing the strategies as they apply to our organization's recruiting and retention programs. These ideas are key to creating our inclusive, “People Serving People” environment that also helps strengthen each community in which we welcome guests.
